Music News For The Week Of December 17, 2012!

This is the new Alice In Chains video for their song Hollow for their Spring release. If this is any sign of what is to come. This album will be one of the best for the year. This song is excellent!

As stated before on this great web site, Thin Lizzy was no longer going to carry the name any longer and would come up with something different. The band is now named Black Star Riders and is going into the studio to record their debut album.

David Grohl’s Sound City Soundtrack will be released on March 12th.

Jason Newsted has released a new song on iTunes called Soldierhead. A four song EP called Metal will come out on January 8th.

Anthrax are going to headline the Metal Alliance Tour with opening acts Exodus, Municipal Waste and Holy Grail.

Last week’s Rockucation question was: What band was Brian Johnson in before AC/DC? This week’s answer comes to us from Kamran Khan of Seekonk, MA. The answer is Geordie.

Ghost will release their new album in the Spring of 2013 and the album is called Inestissumam.

Def Leppard released a 5 song acoustic melody on iTunes from their 2012

Killing Joke is planning a 35th anniversary tour and compilation release. The 3 CD set will be released on April 16 with the tour to follow.

Meat Loaf will be conducting a farewell tour. He already has dates released for Europe but nothing in the States yet. He will be doing the entire Bat Out Of Hell album live.
