Rival Sons released another track this week for their soon to be released album Great Western Valkyrie. This one is called Good Thing. The album comes out on  June 9th. You can listen to it here:

Supergroup WAMI released a video for the song called One More For Rock ‘N’ Roll off their debut album, Kill The King. You can watch it here:

Bon Jovi will be releasing deluxe versions of New Jersey: one will have a DVD, one will have bonus tracks etc. All the stuff you expect for these types of releases.

On May 27th, REO Speedwagon will be releasing a 4 Disc Box Set called the Box Set Series (how original, right?). Anyway the band has released Ridin’ The Storm Out with Kevin Cronin on vocals (Studio Version). When the actual album came out, Cronin left the band and was replaced by Mike Murphy who did the vocals on the record. Obviously, the best version was Cronin on the Get What You Play For live album. A friend turned me on this group, a trio from Sweden, called Three Seasons and they are pretty awesome. Learn about them and check out their new song Drowning from their new album out now called Grow. Let me know what you think. Here is their site:

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers have announced a new album coming out on July 23rd and a tour. The album is called Hypnotic Eye and here are the tour dates with Steve Winwood as the opening act:

ZZ Top will be releasing a 40 track  and a 20 track compilation album on July 22. It’s called The Very Baddest Of ZZ Top.

Sammy Hagar announced dates for his Journey Through The History Of Rock with guest musicians. He will be doing a mix of classic stuff and his own stuff. You can get dates and guests info here: He is also teaming up with Vic Johnson to release an acoustic album. He will release it on his website soon.

Pink Floyd will be releasing on July 1, The Division Bell Box Set. It will be a 6 disc set that includes a gatefold double vinyl LP and the usual special treats.

It must be the week to announce box sets. Now, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young are releasing one on July 7. It will be a live box set based on their historic 1974 tour.

Phil Collins made an appearance in Miami, his first time since his retirement. He mentioned that he is thinking about making some new music and doing some stuff with Genesis, anything is possible. You can watch it here:

Since next year will be the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary. Bob Weir is asking all surviving members to do a reunion event. Asking them to put aside their differences and do this commemorative event.  No response as of yet but it looks like a possibility.
