Blue Oyster Cult Release Two New Singles “Box In My Head” And “That Was Me”!

Blue Oyster Cult has a new album coming out on October 9 titled “The Symbol Remains”. You can pre-order it here. First off, let me just say how happy I am that the band released new music. Ahead of the release of the new record is the first of two singles Box In My Head. This one sounds like they wrote it int the eighties and has a very radio friendly sound. The song grows on you. I would say this is safe track from the band. Nonetheless I found it an enjoyable song.

The second single is That Was Me. It’s better one of the two. Much heavier which is fantastic. It kind of has a Deep Purple vibe to me so you know it has to be good. But the two highlights for me is Jules Radino’s drum and Buck Dharma’s guitar solo. This one pulls you in and keeps your attention. I can’t wait to hear the new album if it’s anything like this tune.

There are no videos of the two songs, but stream over the cover the new album. You can check them out below.
