Deep Purple Releases New Single “Throw My Bones”!

Deep Purple has a new album coming out on June 20th titled “Whoosh”. You can pre-order it here. The first single from it is Throw My Bones. It’s a decent tune, the band seems to be in fine form, including Ian Gillan’s voice. I guess I was expecting a bit more from them on this one. But I think it’s better than the material from their last album “Fire In The Sky”. It doesn’t blow me away but it doesn’t disappoint me, it’s as I said a decent song. Maybe it will grow on me. The band says this about the song;

“The single is accompanied by a music video that pushes the boundaries of time and place. It is an invitation to take a step back and see the bigger picture, a call for action and an invitation to observe the planet and the current situation on earth .”

Seems kind of fitting with the Coronavirus pandemic happening now. The video shows the astronaut? walking through different scenarios and eventually turning into the album cover. Check it out below.
