Neil Young Releases “Vacancy” And It’s Pure Gold!

Neil Young has a new album coming out on June 19th titled “Homegrown”. You can pre-order it here. Vacancy is the new single from it. I guess calling it new is kind of an odd way of putting it since it was recorded back in 1975. Young explains it this way;

  “The album is the sad side of a love affair. The damage done. The heartache… I wanted to move on. So I kept it to myself, hidden away in the vault, on the shelf, in the back of my mind… but I should have shared it. It’s actually beautiful.”

He later said it should have been released after his “Harvest” album and based on what I have heard so far it should have been. Vacancy is true blue classic Neil Young. If you loved the old material you will love this. It seems to be like the missing piece to complete the puzzle. I’m just glad he released it. There is no video but the stream of the song and to be honest that’s all you need. Check it out below.
